Jolly started his career as a background singer in commercials. Over the years, he has been a lead singer, music arranger, composer, and collaborator. His talent is self taught and nurtured, leading to numerous film scores and commercial hits.

Jolly's ardent desire is to compose and be innovative through a fusion of his background in traditional roots with Western classical styles. Jolly has now entered the re-mix wave and the international scene. He has collaborated with Amar, Didi, Bjork and many others.

Most recently Jolly has been accompanied by the Madras Cinematic Orchestra. The moods created by this duo are at once meditative and ecstatic, fitting into the so-called Asian Underground or Asian Massive.
