Sharlene Merchant is a young actor and national commercial print model who has been diligently refining her artistic flair since childhood, with her first performance in the theater production of the famous Bollywood movie Mr. India.

Earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from the University of Houston, and her experience as Vice President of Delta Phi Omega (DPO) Sorority has provided Sharlene the privilege to benefit humanity in a greater capacity. DPO is an organization that works to promote Indian culture and raise awareness of children's literacy and education by partnering with noble nonprofits like Daya. Working with Daya has served as a catalyst for Sharlene's educational endeavors, manifest in her current literary project about meditation and spirituality

Sharlene has been revered by Bibi Magazine (international bridal publication) and the Miss India Texas Pageant (2002). Basant Bahar, a popular national South Asian talent competition, selected Sharlene as Mistress of Ceremonies in 2003. She is also seen in various commercials including the Disney 'Camp Rock' commercial with the Jonas Brothers, a Buy.com commercial with Howie Mandel and many more. She has also done various print work for magazines, resorts, clothing and hair. Sharlene is the face of Masti Media where she elegantly symbolizes the multitude of music, shows, films, and contests that are offered by Masti Media. She also hosts Masti Dating, an online dating site, as well as Mast Vibes which is the underground look of Indian nightlife and growing entertainment culture.
